St. Balikudembe Secondary School celebrated its School Day, a momentous occasion that brought together students,alumni, teachers, and staff to commemorate the school’s achievements and milestones. The highlight of the celebration was the recognition of outstanding individuals who have contributed significantly to the school’s success. The Employee of the Year award was presented to the dedicated chef  who has demonstrated exceptional service, commitment, and passion for the school’s mission. This prestigious award serves as a testament to the employee’s hard work and dedication to the students and the school community.

 

In a bid to support academic excellence and promote education, the school awarded half-bursaries to outstanding students. This gesture demonstrates the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for students to excel academically. The recipients of the bursaries were recognized for their exceptional performance and potential, and the award is expected to motivate them to continue striving for excellence.

 

A special highlight of the celebration was the visit by Msgr. Richard Kayondo, who led the school community in a special blessing ceremony. Msgr. Kayondo’s presence and prayers added a spiritual dimension to the celebration, emphasizing the importance of faith and guidance in the school community.

 

During the blessing ceremony, Msgr. Kayondo specifically blessed the school’s new bus, which is expected to enhance the school’s transportation capabilities and provide students with safer and more convenient travel options. The new bus is a significant addition to the school’s infrastructure, and the blessing ceremony marked a fitting start to its use.

 

The School Day celebration also provided an opportunity for the school community to come together and reflect on the school’s achievements and challenges. The event featured various activities, including performances by students, speeches, and award presentations and most importantly laying the foundation for the construction of the new administration block by Msgr. Richard Kayondo. The celebration was a testament to the school’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive community that values academic excellence, spiritual growth, and community service.

 

The school’s administration led by Mrs Kagoya  the headmistress expressed gratitude to Msgr. Kayondo for his blessings and to the staff and students for their hard work and dedication. The celebration ended on a high note, with the school community looking forward to a bright future and continued success.
