In March 2024, Joel Mpinda emerged as the school’s academic champion by achieving a flawless 20 points in his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams, with exceptional scores in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and ICT. Despite facing significant financial hurdles that led to intermittent school absences, Joel demonstrated unwavering resilience. His triumph has earned him a prestigious government scholarship to pursue Medicine at Makerere University, a feat that reflects the school’s culture of academic tenacity.
Fr. Lawrence Tamale, Chairperson of the Board of Governors, highlighted that this achievement is emblematic of the school’s legacy: “Passing sciences is a tradition here,” he stated, acknowledging not only Joel’s personal effort but also the supportive environment cultivated by dedicated teachers. Joel’s story has since inspired his peers and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to transforming challenges into academic triumphs.
